LISD students took a break from their studies Tuesday morning to watch history in the making. Students at Mackenzie Middle School gathered in their library to watch the inauguration.Teachers say it's a part of history, and they didn't want their students to miss it.

7th grade students told us, it doesn't matter what age or race you are--this is an important day for everyone. Student Macy Spradling says, "It was really fascinating, because if you go down the lines of presidents, all you see is white people, and then you come to Mr. Obama, and he's made history. He's a lot of people's idol."
