City Bank took a big step Thursday in hopes of jumpstarting relief for Lockney High School students.

The bank presented a $20,000 check to Lockney ISD Thursday afternoon, contributing to Lockney's effort to rebuild their high school.

Students and staff from New Deal ISD are also helping Lockney recover from the fire.

The school district has raised more than $1,000 in school supplies to donate to Lockney.

Friday, before their volleyball match, students from New Deal will present Lockney students with a special card symbolizing the donation.
