Lubbock Sheriff's Office arrested two members of the Texas Syndicate drug gang in an undercover drug bust Thursday afternoon.

Ambrosia Garcia, Jr., 24, and Jimmy T. Cordova, 34, are facing federal drug charges.

After receiving tips from several law enforcement agencies, the undercover LSO deputies made contact with the two men and offered them 5 kilos of cocaine for roughly $100,000.

After arresting the men in sting operation at a motel on the Slaton Highway, LSO deputies discovered the men used money from an illegal gambling facility on the 1900 block of 19th Street in Central Lubbock.

LSO then served a warrant on the Pot of Gold Gaming Room and confiscated several 8-Liner machines and discovered more narcotics.

Both Garcia and Cordova have had tangles with the law in the past including drug trafficking charges.  Both cold receive up to 99 years in prison.
