A FedEx plane crashed at the Lubbock International Airport early Tuesday morning.
The plane veered off the runway and caught fire, sending both pilots to the hospital.
The ATR 42 twin prop plane took off from Alliance Airport in Ft. Worth, eventually crashing in Lubbock at 4:37 a.m.
Airport officials tell us visibility was good and runways were clear of ice.
Both runways were closed for a few hours Monday, but one runway was back open by 8 a.m.
The second will remain closed for several days while the National Transportation Safety Board investigates the accident.
"As far as the airport goes, conditions were acceptable. There was no indication of an emergency prior to the crash. The National Transportation Safety Board will make a thorough investigation, their findings will be final," James Loomis with Lubbock International says.
If you are traveling in the near future, airport officials recommend you call the airline you are flying on to get information on any delays.
