New details tonight involving the three men involved in the high speed chase down the Tahoka Highway Tuesday afternoon.

All three men have been charged for an attempted burglary just outside the county yesterday, and could be charged with more than 35 others. That means as the investigation continues, today's single charges could turn into many more.

24-year-old Enrique Cuvillier of Abernathy, 23-year-old Michael Gray of Shallowater, and 21-year-old Abundio Barboza Jr. of Abernathy have all been charged with burglary of a habitation. Barboza is also charged with felony evading arrest nd is also suspected as being AWOL with the military.

The sheriff's office tells us this has been going on for about a month. They estimate the stolen property from the 35 burglaries to be thousands of dollars.

Chief Deputy Paul Scarborough says these guys targeted homes where they thought no one was home.

"They were doing a fairly decent job of surveying the target. They just made a mistake this time and it turned out to be to our advantage. We've been able to contact some individuals, homeowners and such forth, and hopefully we'll be able to gather some more information on the case as well as recovering property."

The sheriff's office says that even though they have caught these guys and possibly ended this string of burglaries, if you ever see something suspicious in your neighborhood don't hesitate to contact law enforcement for them to check it out and keep your family safe.
