The Lubbock City Council approved a resolution to create a citizens advisory committee in order to prepare for a November bond election.

The council agreed to cap the bond at $65 million.

If passed in an election, people can expect a 5 cent tax increase.

Projects like the repair of 34th Street and infrastructure repairs are expected to be the focus of the bond package.
