People are looking for a suspect who stabbed two people in the early hours of Friday morning. It happened on the 5400 block of 42nd Street around 3:30 this morning. Police say 33-year-old Jacob Mojica and 42-yr-old Susan Perez were both stabbed by Perez's ex-boyfriend Robert Mata.

Mata is now on the run. Police believe he fled in a '97 green Buick Lesabre but later ditched the car. They say he could be headed to Brownfield. The two victims were critically injured. One was taken to UMC and the other was transported to Covenant.

Neighbors say the brutal crime is shocking. Neighbor Mark Sanders says, "For someone to walk into somebody's house, especially on our street and stab somebody, it's totally different, so it's something that we have to worry about. I'm actually kind of scared, I don't know where this person is but it's very unbelievable."
