Many people are turning to local cable and satellite providers to get ready for the switch to DTV.  Officials with Suddenlink Cable and 24-Hour Dish Television say business has been increasing steadily for the past few months. The wait-time for installation has gone from just a few days to at least a week.  Mark Kriger with Dish Television says, after Tuesday night, when most local stations turn off their analog signal and turn on the digital, he expects things will get even busier.

Kriger says,"Once they realize that it really is going to happen and they don't have locals anymore, they'll give us a call and we can definitely get them fixed up."

If you're interested in subscribing to cable or satellite service, you can reach 24-Hour Dish Television at 687-2424 and Suddenlink Cable at 793-2222.  Remember, there could be a wait for installation.
