After Mike Leach refused to sign Tech's multi-million dollar proposal, many are wondering about his future in The Hub City. Whatever happens, it's no secret that the coach and his team brought a lot of good press to Lubbock over the past year.

Tech and Lubbock got tons of national attention during the football season, thanks to Coach Leach and his players. There were plenty of prime-time games, and ESPN Gameday even made tech a stop on their college football tour. And don't forget Leach's national appearance on CBS's 60 Minutes.

Whether the coach stays or goes, we know he brought some big press to Lubbock. Says Chamber of Commerce president Eddie McBride, "Anytime you can put a pin on the map for Lubbock, it's outstanding coverage for us, and I think through the successes of the Tech football program and Texas Tech in general, it's been very good for Lubbock."
