Brownfield Stocks Its Shelves With Alcohol

Lubbock is just a little over two months away from its own controversial alcohol vote. Today we visited Brownfield, the latest city to put alcohol on the shelves. Back in November, Brownfield residents barely passed a vote to allow packaged alcohol sales within the city. Just this month, several different stores began to sell beer and wine.
 
Police chief Tony Serbantez says thus far, alcohol related crime hasn't increased, but within the next several months, they'll begin to see if alcohol really will affect the crime rate."It's too early to tell right now, we're in the second month of it, we'll just have to wait and see. Give us a couple more months, and I think we'll be able to tell the effects of it."
