Security problems in Mexico have many re-thinking spring break plans south of the border.
Texas Tech recently warned students through an e-mail about the risk of going to Mexico for spring break this year.
Tech is just one of many universities nationwide alerting their students of the escalating violence there.
The fighting between drug cartel and police isn't detering everyone, though, from traveling to Mexico in the coming weeks.
It's estimated more than 100,000 high school and college students travel to Mexico during spring break each year.
