The Food and Drug Administration has released it's official report on the conditions inside the Plainview Peanut Plant, and KAMC 28 has a copy of the in-depth inspection documents.
According to the report, the entire plant was littered with rodent droppings and dead rats. Inspectors also said the plant had several roof leaks and it's employees did not clean machinery regularly, nor did they conduct the proper safety tests on peanut products. The West Texas plant is owned by the now bankrupt Peanut Corporation of America and has been linked to the recent nationwide salmonella outbreak.
