The Texas Legislature is debating a new bill that will mandate convicted domestic abusers to wear a GPS bracelet.
The abusers victims will then be able to track them and report any protective order violations.
They will follow them," said Felicia Lafuente of Women's Protective Services. "They will stalk them, talk to friends, and talk to family members. They will do anything they can to try to find that person."
Lafuente said the new bill would make it easier for victims to combat the cycle of abuse that often occurs in such situations.
The bill is being backed by Representative Abel Herrero (D) of Corpus Christi.
