With the current strain on the economy, many people can't afford those extras. So, is the entertainment industry on its way down? Turns out, most entertainment businesses in Lubbock are doing just fine.

Out at Dave's Need for Speed, they say business is up 30% so far this year. We also hit South Plains Lanes, and it seems Lubbockites haven't cut back on bowling. They say it's a cheap way to have some family fun. "Once a week we try to do something, and it may not always entail paying. Sometimes we'll go to the park," says Shelley Smith. "When we come out like this, bowling's a rather economical thing to do."
