A fire in West Lubbock kills a young child and injures two others.

A mobile home was completely ablaze when firefighters arrived with several people running out of the structure.  Fire officials have confirmed it was a three-year-old boy killed in the fire.

Chief Deputy Chris Angerer says they were called out to the Town and Country Mobile Home park at 4th Street and Upland just before six o'clock Monday evening.  When they arrived, ten of the fourteen people that all live inside the mobile home were running out the burning structure.  Angerer says the fire started in the south bedroom of the home, but they have not been able to determine what caused it.  He says the parents of the children who live in the home were injured trying to re-enter the burning house.

"The mother that lives here and the father of the children that live here, they were injured when they attempted to go back into the structure."

Witnesses out here tell us the little boy was hiding under the bed during the fire, however, officials have only confirmed the body was found in the Northwest bedroom of the home.
