It's been the site of several deadly crashes, now the intersection at CR 1700 and FM 2641 is seeing some major changes.

One month ago Friday, six people lost their lives at that intersection, prompting an investigation by TxDot surrounding the safety of the crossroads.

A petition to make the intersection a four-way stop was circulated by neightbors shortly there after.

That petition received 600 signatures.

So Friday, TxDot responded, making the intersection a four-way stop.

"We found that the community is very supportive of the four way stop, and it wasn't hard at all.  Within a week or two we had all our papers filled out and turned them right in," neighbor Cheri Bradford says.
