A Lubbock woman is speaking about a terrifying accident after she blacked out last week, driving her car into a playa lake.

Last Wednesday, 46-year-old Cray Pickering says she blacked out as she was driving along 89th and Memphis.  Police and EMS found her SUV, with Pickering inside, in the middle of the lake.  They realized the car was quickly sinking and jumped into action.  They smashed a window and swam her back to the shore.  Now, Pickering publically thanked the man who saved her life.

"I am very blessed to know that he was very nearby, that he was trained to perform this, and that obviously he is a very brave and courageous person that he didn't hesitate and my entire family...we just have a huge debt of gratitude to you and we will always have a special place in our heart for him."
