Lubbock Police have named a sole suspect in a 2-month-old murder case.

A warrant has now been issued for the arrest of 27-year-old Raymundo Garza.  He's accused in the murder of 48-year-old Tina Marie Sanchez.  Sanchez's daughter found the body inside their home back in February.

Police had originally called Garza a person of interest, but Tuesday, they said specific evidence left at the scene led them to name Garza as the sole suspect.

Sgt. Jimmy Pachall, Lubbock Police Department:
"Through several pieces of evidence that was located and collected by the ID section of the Lubbock Police Dpt. Our detectives were able to link Garza to the death of Tina Marie Sanchez."

There's a $1,000 dollar reward for information leading to the arrest of Raymundo Garza.  He's believed to be either in Georgia or Albuquerque.  If you have any information, call the Crimeline at 741-1000.
