LUBBOCK, Texas: Texas Tech travels to Oklahoma St. this weekend for their Big XII Conference opener in what could be their last visit to Stillwater. Cowboys owner Jerry Jones and officials with the Cotton Bowl are both still interested in becoming the permanent host for the Tech-OSU annual contest. Officials from all sides of the ball on this issue, including Texas Tech A.D. Gerald Myers, are keeping details under wraps, except to say that talks are ongoing. One person who has expressed their opinion on where the Tech vs. OSU game should be played is Texas Tech head coach Mike Leach. Leach said in his weekly press conference that he believes the best place to play Oklahoma St. is here in Lubbock and the worst place to play the Cowboys is in Stillwater. So since Tech can't play OSU in Lubbock every year, than maybe a neutral site like Dallas is a good option. Mike Leach went on to say that he's sure the Tech Administration will do what's best for the school, although Leach admits he's not exactly sure what that might be.To comment on this story, click on the icon in the lower right-hand corner.
