The number of Swine Flu cases in Texas has risen to 26.
The City of Lubbock has begun operations at the Emergency Operations Center in downtown and are making plans in the event of an outbreak.
There have been no confirmed cases of Swine Flu in Lubbock as of Thursday afternoon.
City officials say there is no need to panic at this time and people should do simple preventatives like washing their hands to prevent infection.
There has only been one death recorded in the United States from Swine Flu at this time.
