Thursday morning, 26-year old Steven Torres was sentenced to 50 years in prison for the 2008 murder of 24-year old Daniel Green.

Torres killed Green last October, after a minor traffic accident in the parking lot of the town and Country at 19th and Milwaukee. Police say Torres fired a gun in the air, and Green fled the scene. Torres chased Green in his car and fired several shots into the vehicle, killing him.

Nicole Walinski, a close friend of Daniel, remembers his talent and kindness, and believes the sentencing was not enough.

"Whatever they give him, it's no justice to Daniel, he had dreams and he was going somewhere, so I don't think either way it's fair. Everybody he met, he touched. Everybody remembered him, even if they just met one time. They would know Daniel Green and they would know he's a nice person, he cares and he's real." says Walinski.
