Leach`s Contract Extended

The Air-Raider-Attack is led by a multi-million dollar man. Texas Tech Head Coach Mike Leach received a contract extension. The new deal is a 5-year deal. KLBK-13 spoke with Leach late Friday night where he confirmed he will be receiving an extension.
"I`m real excited about the support I`ve had and my family`s had, and what the University and town has provided," Leach said. "It`s a thrill for me to be a part of this football team and community."
Leach`s new deal could make his earnings over 10-million dollars through the 2010 season.
Leach has taken the Red Raider program to new heights every season he`s been head coach with every new season being better than the last. Including the last two season`s with appearances in the Holiday Bowl and the Cotton Bowl.
"The biggest thing is we need to do our best to improve and see where it takes us from there," Leach said.
Coach Leach is entering his seventh season with the Red Raiders. Texas Tech is expected to make an official announcement of the contract extension early next week.
