Trent Johnson was able to drive from the scene of the shooting to the house on Cornell looking for help. The residents there, the Giddens, say they saw Johnson covered in blood on their porch. Unaware of how the crime unfolded or why he was there, they called police for help. By then Johnson walked next door and collapsed on the porch. Carl Gidden's, a resident of the house and friend of the victim says he couldn't imagine why this happened.
