Swine Flu Case Confirmed in Lubbock

 The Lubbock Health Department confirms a positive case of H1N1 Flu.


According to the Health Department, one case of H1N1 flu has been confirmed in Lubbock County. The case is a small child, less than 5 years old. The family has been notified. The child has been treated with Tamiflu and is recovering at home.

The Health Department continues to advise every one to to take the following precautions to prevent the spread of any illness:

*Wash Hands frequently and thoroughly.
*If soap and water are not available, use alcohol-based hand cleaners.
*Be sure to Cough or sneeze into facial tissue or into your shirt sleeve if tissue is not available.
*Stay home if your experiencing flu like symptoms.
