The Lockney High School girl charged with arson has plead guilty to setting the fire that burnt down her high school back in January.
A judge sentenced the 15-year-old to four years at a Texas Youth Commission facility.
In January, the girl confessed to burning the school down.
She told authorities she did it because she wanted a nicer school with better books and computers.
"We made it through something that we wouldn't wish on anyone. I think real closure for us is going to be when we get all of our facilities completely rebuilt," Lockney ISD Superintendent Phil Cotham says.
Mr. Cotham says they plan to tear down the existing high school in June and have the new one built by December 2010.
