Police Uncover Organized Crime Ring

Lubbock police have uncovered a group they say dealt in stolen electronics.
Police say at least seven people were involved in this organized crime ring and it all started at a local UPS warehouse.
According to court documents, at least one local UPS employee stole hundreds of IPods and nearly a dozen Apple MacBook computers from a warehouse and then re-sold them on the streets.
Police say the thefts began last fall and continued into this year.
They say Robert Ramos was the UPS employee who would steal the electronics from loading docks at the warehouse then advertise the merchandise through text messaging.
So far, six people have been arrested in connection with these crimes and police are still looking for at least six more.
Detectives have recovered 49 of those stolen IPods and two MacBook computers.
Police ask if you have received or bought and IPod from anyone other than an authorized Apple seller, to call the police department so they can determine if it is one of the stolen electronics.
