One of the victim's in Thursday morning's donut shop robbery speaks out, in hopes the man who robbed her family's business is caught.
The robbery happened around 5:00 Thursday morning at the Daylight Donuts Shop on the 2800 block of 34th Street.
Kimberly Hughes and her dad were at the shop when a man walked in through the back door.
Kimberly says he held a box cutter to her throat and demanded money.
Her dad emptied the cash register and the suspect escaped with $250.
"That's when he grabbed me around my neck and he put something to my throat. At first I couldn't tell what it was, so he dragged me over by my dad and my dad's like 'Let her go, let her go,' and he's (the suspect) like give me the money or I'm going to hurt her. It was really scary, I still see his face in my head a lot, but I'm just not going to let it get the best of me you know," Kim Hughes says.
The suspect is described as a shorter black man, around 5'6'', with a thin build and around 130 pounds.
If you know anything about this robbery, you're asked to call police.
