Police have now identified a suspect who apparently drove his SUV into a south Lubbock home.

Thursday afternoon, police named 25-year-old Dustin Barnhill as the driver of the SUV that drove into that home.

The accident happened just after 2:00 AM Sunday morning.

Police say Barnhill was driving a tan colored Chevy Tahoe and plowed through a fence and into the home of Jeff and Beena Thomas.

The truck just missed their 8-month-old son who was asleep in his crib.

"I'm glad that it's come to an end and it won't happen again with this person, like I said, everytime I go in that room and I look around I think my goodness it could have been Jackson but we're very thankful that everything is okay," Beena Thomas says.

If charged with this crime, Barnhill could face up to 180 days in jail and up to $2,000 in fines.
