If you have been watching primetime network TV lately, you know that america has gotten hooked on crime scene investigation shows.

But very rarely is a dead body identified in a neat and tidy 55 minutes.

Lubbock County Medical Examiner Dr. Sridhar Natarajan says the shows may be entertaining but they may not be realistic.

Natarajan is the man responsible for indentifying the body of 27-year-old Daniel Arguijo Jr., which was discovered in a field in northwest Lubbock last week.

Dr. Natarajan says the tv shows often try to do too many things at once.

"We try to do things in a step by step, you know, methodical way, and so, it wion't be a shotgun approach where we're going to do 20 things at one time. Simply, it usually isn't the appropriate way to do it," Natarajan said.
