LCU`s Hunter Named Player of the Week

Ashley Hunter of Lubbock Christian University and Willie Irick of Oklahoma City University have been named Sooner Athletic Conference Basketball Players of the Week for Jan. 15-21. Hunter, a 5-9 junior from Lamesa, Texas, averaged 20.5 points, 7.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 2 steals in road wins at No. 23 Oklahoma Baptist and John Brown. Irick, a 6-6 junior forward from Teaneck, N.J., averaged 21 points and five rebounds in wins over No. 7 Southern Nazarene and USAO.
