Levelland Meth Ring Suspects Back in Court

For the second time this month, a long line of accused suspects in the Levelland meth trafficking case slowly made its way into a federal court room.
Notably absent from the chain gang were three of the most high profile suspects in the case.
Bobby Duwayne Froman is accused of orchestrating a meth trafficking ring that ran drugs from northern California to Lubbock. He waived his right to a detention hearing and will await trial.
Gordon Bohannon is the former chief deputy of the Hockley County Sheriff's Department. His detention hearing was continued last monday. He is still in custody.
Hockley County Sheriff's Department Narcotics Officer Jesse Quintanilla made bail on July 17th. He's now out of custody but will have to return for the trial.
None of the 28 suspects have yet plead guilty or tried to make a deal with federal prosecutors, but with more than 100 pages of evidence against them and about two months until the trial, deals and guilty pleas may be forthcoming.
