Judge's Bulletin Board Now a Clean Slate

A few days after a posted e-mail caused some controversy down at the Lubbock County Court House, County Judge Tom Head's bulletin board has been cleaned up.
The board was full of political statements that, Judge Head says, reflect a more conservative point of view. Today, the board was mostly empty except for a few patriotic postings and a most wanted list.
County Commissioner Bill McCay removed the post Friday. He says it was not the place for political opinions.
"By state law we cannot campaign or raise funds from this desk. We can't use county equipment to campaign. So you have to leave politics in the parking lot," McCay said.
