Brown Leads Kings to 3-2 Win

Lubbock, Texas - Bobby Brown fired home two goals to help the Lubbock Cotton Kings close out the weekend with a 3-2 victory over the Arizona Sundogs at City Bank Coliseum. The Cotton Kings have a record of 17-23-4 for 38 points in the standings. Simon Watson gave Lubbock the 1-0 lead as he slipped the puck past Arizona netminder Chris King at the 7:44 mark of the first period while shorthanded. Watson leads all CHL rookies in shorthanded goals with three and his 21st goal now ties him atop the CHL rookie leaderboard. Brown`s 14th goal of the season and eventual game-winner came with 4:48 remaining in the third period. Lubbock will head out on the road for a Friday night match with the Laredo Bucks at 7:30 p.m. and return home on Saturday for a 7:00 p.m. face-off with Laredo.
