One year after the body of 29-year-old Monica Adams was found in a Northeast Lubbock oil field, police are seeking leads in the unsolved murder.

Adams' body was discovered August 20, 2008 by a man who works in the oil field near MLK and North Bradley.

Autopsy results determined she died from multiple blows to the head.

Detectives say rainfall the weeked prior to Adams being found makes this case particularly difficult since a lot of evidence was washed away.

"(We're) kind of at a stand still. There's still that one person out there that has the information that we need, that they may not think is important, but could be the link that ties the whole thing together," Lubbock Police Sgt. Jimmy Pachall says.

If you know anything about this case, you're asked to call Lubbock Police.

You can remain anonymous.
