Congressman Randy Neugebauer held his "Coffee with the Congressman" in Lubbock Tuesday afternoon, and over one thousand people attended.

Held at the First United Methodist Church, it was mostly conservatives who filled the Great Hall.  Topics like energy policies, federal bailouts, and Cash for Clunkers were all brought up.  But healthcare was the main debate.  Neugebauer pledged he will never vote to turn American's healthcare over to the government.

"If the President really wants to take leadership, and do the right thing, he will come back and say evidently, we're hearing from the American people, we haven't gotten this right. It's too important of an issue not to get it right. So let's just hit the pause button here, let's work in a bipartisan way to make sure that we get healthcare right for American people."

Neugebauer is set to hold another town hall meeting in Plainview on Tuesday, September 1st.
