Some Lubbock school children learned a valuable lesson today from a girl named Rachel Scott.

Rachel was the first student killed in the Columbine High School massacre in 1999.  Now her life and diaries have been turned into a motivational presentation for students everywhere.

Former Texas Tech quarterback Cody Hodges presented what's called Rachel's Challenge' to the middle school kids at O.L. Slaton today.

Hodges says the program is a positive influence on kids.

"Her goal really was just to start a chain reaction of kindness. And they way she lived her life, obviously started that chain reaction because ten years later we're still telling her story. And i think the thing about her story is that it's so simple that we all can get something from it," Hodges said.
