Jarrius Jackson Named Big 12 Player of the Week

Texas Tech`s Jarrius Jackson and Missouri freshman Keon Lawrence were named Big 12 Men`s Basketball Player and Rookie of the Week for games of Feb. 12-18. Both players capture accolades for the first time this season. The player honor is the third of Jackson`s career. Jackson hit the game-winning shot with no time remaining at Texas A&M to give the Red Raiders a 77-75 victory over the Aggies. He finished with 31 points as Tech recorded its third win over a top 10 opponent this season. He followed that performance with 28 points versus Colorado in a 95-74 win. The senior guard shot 56.8 percent (21-of-37) from the field in two games, including 6-of-13 (.462) from 3-point range. He was also 11-of-15 (.733) from the free throw line. Jackson started his 100th consecutive game against CU and moved into second place on the Big 12 career scoring list with 2,104 points. Jackson and the Red Raiders visit Texas at 8 p.m. on Tuesday.
