The Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission dismissed protests against alcohol sales today.  They left the option open for protesters to file for an injunction with local courts.

The protesters have three days to do so.

One protester, Lauran Collins, said the fight is not over.

"We will file for the injunction.  This is just a setback.  We are not going to back down," Collins said.

Another protester, Don Workman, said the issue was over who can decide where alcohol can be sold.

"My sympathies lie with the communities that voted themselves dry and have kind of been overridden by Lubbock County. I certainly sympathize with them because i don't think the county should dictate to the cities that have voted themselves dry. It's my interpretation that the law is on their side, and I think it's very unfortunate that the texas alcohol commission ruled the other way," Workman said.
