Two students attending Lubbock Cooper South Elementary have symptoms similar to the H1N1 virus.  The two boys were sent home yesterday with fever, a sore throat and cough. However, doctors confirmed it was type A influenza or the regular flu. School officials said the best prevention against the spread of seasonal flu and H1N1 is through educational videos and demonstrations, letters to parents and website updates. Lubbock Cooper educators say, there is no reason to panic.

"We're ready we're prepared, we know a lot more now than we did last spring. We don't want parents to keep their kids home just because they heard there's a possible case of H1N1," said Henderson.

Faculty meetings were held on all Cooper I.S.D. campuses yesterday, and information on the difference between H1N1 and regular flu is also available on the district website.
