A Lubbock motorcycle officer remains in serious condition.  It happened around 10:30 Friday morning at the intersection of 10th Street and Avenue O.  Police say a car pulled out in front of the officer who was on his motorcycle going west on 10th.  The officer was knocked unconcious.  Luckily, two women taking a break from studyingn for their nursing exam were across the street when they heard the accident.  The future nurses said they used their training to help the officer.

"When we first got there he was unconcious, but he regained it pretty quick and was trying to get up so she held his head stable while I held his hands and was talking to him and telling him 'no we got EMS on the way, you just lay here and be still," said Dorothy Richardson, a future nurse and good Samaritan.

Officials said speed was not a factor.  The Corporal remains in serious condition at Covenant Hospital.  His name has not yet been released.
