Seven schools from across the south plains came together Monday to take a stand against destructive driving among their peers. They are part of the Teen Coalition Against Destructive Driving. And they held a memorial Tuesday night to remember the 11 students who died in car crashes during the fall of 2006. Families of the victims attended the event. A Shallowater police officer read the names of each of the teenagers killed. Bryson McCarty, the chair of the coalition, says he knows what they are doing won't bring them back but they need to be remembered. If you would like to help the coalition in their efforts to prevent future teen car crashes, you can contact Cindy Couch at 470-9940.
