Reuben Garcia is accused of stabbing two people to death and nearly killing another near the intersection of 64th st and Avenue T in central Lubbock.

Neighbors in the area say they've had enough of the all the crime.

In August, police officers conducted a drug bust just two streets away from the scene of the murders.

Neighbors say drugs, violence and prostitution are common in the area.  Some of them were afraid to go on camera because they feared retirbution.

We spoke with two people in the area who say the neighborhood has become too dangerous for them.

"I'm surprised but not all that surprised because it's been happening for a while," said neighbor Yolanda Parker.

"Things been going on like this in this area, and it's getting worse. It's not getting any better."

Samson Carrillo, another neighbor said he's looking to get out.

"I'm scared enough to want to find another neighborhood. This is crazy," Carrillo said.
