A big political endorsement today in the race for governor.  The Texas Farm Bureau has officially put its support behind Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison.

Hutchison flew into Lubbock today to accept the endorsement.

The farm bureau had supported Gov. Rick Perry in past elections.  This year, the group said Hutchison was more in line with their views on important issues.

The Farm Bureau says Perry's views on eminent domain and private property rights led to the endorsement of Hutchison.

AGFUND President Ken Dierschke said it came down to trust.

"For the future of Texas, we all call for new leadership. We call for new ideas and new vision. We know that Texas will trust Governor Hutchison in the same way we've always trusted Senator Hutchison," Dierschke said in a written statement.
