Slaton Burglary Leads To High Speed Chase Through Lubbock

A burglary in Slaton leads to a high speed chase through the streets of Lubbock.

Officials tell us the chase started in Slaton at Hydromulch of Texas.

The owner there tells us his wife caught two men breaking into the business.

She followed the two suspects in her car, before the Slaton Police attempted to make a traffic stop and the suspects fled.

The pursuit continued from Slaton in to Lubbock city limits where the Lubbock County Sheriff's Office, along with Lubbock Police assisted Slaton authorities.

The chase ended at about 4:15, just 45 minutes after it started.

Officials with the Lubbock County Sheriff's Office tell us Lubbock Police responded to three car accidents as a result of the chase, including one involving a Sheriff's Deputy.

Authorities say the two suspects will likely be charged with burglary and evading arrest.
