Officer Marsh Blackmore pulled over L.J. McCallan for a faulty break light back in July of 2006 and used a taser to get him out of the car and down on the ground.
Five Lubbock Police Officers took the stand Wednesday, including Lt. Dan Bryant, a master taser trainer, testifying a taser isn't always the best option, but is certainly the safest when it comes to using non-deadly force.
Lt. Bryant says dash cam video of McCallan pulling his shirt away from him whie being tased shows a disconnect with the probes and that McCallan wasn't fully incapacitated, giving Officer Blackmore good reason to continue tasing him until fully subdued.
The trial resumes Thursday at 8:30 a.m.
