The Lubbock police officer on trial for using excessive force suffered a medical emergency while on the witness stand.

Officer Marsh Blackmore is accused of using excessive force during a routine traffice stop when he pulled over LJ McCallan for a faulty brake light. The dash cam video shows Officer Blackmore tasing McCallan repeatedly, and during Thursday's testimony - when McCallan's attorney was questioning Blackmore - the officer slumped into the podium, and began making noises. Attorneys then rushed to his side, but Officer Blackmore was unresponsive and pale. The judge called in EMS and cleared the courtroom.

The trial's expected to resume Friday morning at 8:30.
