A charcoal grill is believed to have sparked a house fire this morning.  It happened in the 3500 block of 49th street.  A visitor from Amarillo spotted the flames at the home of Mark and Nancy Garcia, who were not home at the time.  Fire crews needed about three hours to put out the fire and save the family dog Duke.  Fire Marshall, Robert Loveless said everyone needs to remember to be cautious when grilling.

"It's that time of year where everyone is going out and grilling now so we want to pass along to watch where you're grilling and be sure those embers are out."

The Garcia's told us they had been barbecuing late Monday evening and embers were most likely still hot this morning.  Wind then blew those embers onto their wooden porch.
