A federal jury ruled unanimously in favor of a Lubbock Police officer in the taser lawsuit Tuesday.
This decision following six hours of deliberations.
The jury ruled Officer Marsh Blackmore did not use excessive force during a traffic stop back in July 2006.
You'll remember Blackmore pulled over L.J. McCallan for a faulty break light, then tased McCallan when he resisted arrest.
McCallan sued Blackmore and the City of Lubbock for damages.
McCallan's attorney, Charles Dunn, asking for $20,000, but the jury giving him nothing Tuesday.
"The decision was unanimous, that's what they want, that's what the City of Lubbock wants, go for it, next time it's your kid or your Grandma," Plaintiff, L.J. McCallan says after the verdict.
"The police aren't perfect and they wouldn't have you believe that for a moment, but they're doing the best they can with what they have," Officer Blackmore's Attorney, George Thompson, says.
McCallan tells us he plans to appeal the jury's decision.
