Swine flu vaccines came to Lubbock last week.  But if you blinked you might have missed them.

UMC received their shipment last thursday but ran out within hours.

Covenant got a shipment on friday, but they ran low just as quickly.

Both hospitals say it's tough to say when or if the vast majority of the public will have access to the vaccine anytime soon.

For now, UMC's Greg Bruce says it's best to call ahead to see if the vaccine is available before coming in to get it.

"Small shipments are arriving almost daily...up to 40 at a time...so probably the best thing to do is for folks to call before they go into one of the clinics and see if the vaccine is available that day," Bruce said.
