Expect Higher Prices on Food

It's no secret the price of pretty much everything has gone up over the years, but this holiday season expect to be paying a little more for food.
The main reason for the most recent hike is the rising cost of fuel.
In 2003, oil cost about twenty-five dollars a barrel, and now it's nearly four times that, which means the cost of transporting goods is that much more.
Also, experts say its a result of simple supply and demand.
However, experts say price fluctuations are nothing new, and it's all relative.
Potatoes might cost about 25 percent more that it did back then, but were also making more money.
